
About Our Pastor
Rev. Dr. Cynthia Zirlott is a retired pastor serving Perdio UMC. She comes to us by way of retiring from being the Chaplain at Frostburg State University and served in the Baltimore-Washington UMC conference for 15 years. She is a member of the Virginia Annual Conference. Dr. Zirlott has been in the ministry for 41 years, serving churches as Christian Educator, Director of Discipleship Ministries, and Associate Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Discipleship, Youth, and Evangelism and University Chaplain.
She graduated South Alabama with a double major in Political Science and Pre-Law. She graduated from Asbury Theological seminary with an MDiv and a focus on Christian Education and Spiritual Formation. She got her Masters in Spiritual Direction and Counseling Ministry from Duquesne University and also earned her PhD Human Formation Science from the same.
Dr. Zirlott grew-up in Alabama. Her father was a United Methodist pastor in the Alabama West Florida UMC Conference. She has a large extended family who still resides in Alabama near Dauphin Island and Fowl River.
