A New Church Can Be Intimidating…
We know because we’ve all been there. This page is to help you prepare for your first visit to
Perdido Community Church so you will know what to expect on a typical Sunday morning.
What is the service like?
-
Our Worship services begins at 11 am. It is a traditional informal service. The pastor will lead in some interactions and dialogue as we begin Worship, but please participate
as you feel comfortable. -
Typically, people come dressed casually but we encourage people to come in a manner comfortable to them.
-
We do have a time of spoken prayer when those in worship can offer specific requests and concerns.
-
Our pastor will teach a lesson from the Bible. Our goal is to help everyone understand the Bible and how to apply it to our life. We are a Word centered church and believe the
scriptures is the Word of God for faithful living in a modern world. -
At the close of the service the pastor has a discipleship challenge for the week to help us start to practically apply the teaching focus for your personal pursuit of God. We also provide in the service leaflet a scripture reading plan for the week. If you don’t own a Bible, we’d love to give you one.

About Us as a Church
What about my kids?
Perdido Community Church is a small rural church in a village of about 750 people. We see ourselves as in a stage of restart and regrowth. The advantages of joining us and being part of a small church are:
-
Family Feel. Small churches capture a family better than any other size of church. The Church vision that Jesus had was of a family. He called us his brothers and sisters. We want for all those that enter our fellowship to feel like they are family and we are all family together – this is a place to be yourself, a beloved child of God.
-
Quick to Find your Place. Everyone, according to scripture, has been called by God to use their talents and skills to serve. We are all called to servanthood ministries and in a small church it is easy to start a ministry expression that you have a passion for or blend.
We love children and welcome them to be present in the worship service. We currently do not have a special children’s program, but we do have activity books and packets for them in the entryway. You are welcome to those supplies to keep your children interested during the worship.
Children are amazing multitaskers, and the packs are there to encourage participation and interest. We hope to communicate to the little ones that church is for them. After the service you can feel free to tear out the pages your children used to take
home and put the supplies back as you leave.
